To set up a modern, fully equipped eye bank committed to promoting eye donation, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, and supporting sight-restoring corneal transplantation procedures.

Health & Hygienic Living

Awareness programmes on sanitation, hygiene, diabetes, eye donation, and preventive healthcare for rural communities.

Research & Development

Scientific seminars, workshops, and research on ophthalmological and public health issues to advance medical knowledge.

Social Development

Girl child education, women empowerment, anti-addiction drives, tree plantation, and environmental awareness campaigns.

Skill Development

Youth motivation and vocational training programmes to tackle unemployment and foster entrepreneurship in the region.

A Voluntary Organisation
Born for Community Good

UDDIPANA — meaning "A Ray for Bright Future" — is a registered voluntary non-governmental organisation based at Nalbari Eye Hospital, College Road, Nalbari, Assam. Registered on 16th February, 2011 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Reg. No. RS/NAL/246/G/141 of 2010-11), the organisation has been a beacon of change in the region.

As a Socio-Economic Voluntary Organisation, UDDIPANA works since its inception in the field of all-round community development — spanning eye care, health awareness, girl child education, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability across the state of Assam.

Aims & Objectives

The Society is established with a vision to serve the CURATIVE, PREVENTIVE AND REHABILITATION needs of people with ophthalmology diseases and to work for the benefit of the entire Assam community.

Ophthalmology

Provide modern eye treatment

Conduct free Eye Check-up Camps and Cataract Operation Camps

Maintain Mobile Eye Care Hospitals for rural communities

Organise national-level seminars on Ophthalmology

Health & Hygiene

Organise legal awareness camps on health issues including HIV/AIDS, cancer

Provide free eye treatment to the poor and needy

Promote physical fitness, meditation, yoga and moral education

Special focus on care of the elderly

Social Development

Create awareness on drug abuse, addiction and anti-social ailments

Work for empowerment of women and children

Support education for girl child and scholarship for meritorious students
